back to the beginning of time

Terra Memoria brings you an inter-active tour from the earliest stages of the earth’s formation through to today’s Aveyron landscapes, and finally out onto a breathtaking platform overlooking the Bozouls canyon over 100m (300ft) below.

Scale models and rock samples help to show how our planet was formed, its structure and its continuing evolution. Visit the ancient region of the Rouergue, watch the appearance of animals from mammoths to human beings, see the formation of the Alps and the Pyrenees, volcanoes and the nearby hills of the Aubrac.
